listening to cbs sportsline's fantasy podcast
and they rank b.j. upton very highly...

again, i think we have a group of guys overvaluing steals...

because let's face it...

if you're going to talk about B.J. Upton as the 7th best OF in the league, why not put Jacoby Ellsbury in the mix, who actually was just as good a fantasy player as B.J. last year?

i'll agree i'm being a bit unfair because b.j. did hit 24 HRs in 2007... but that was just one year...

if B.J. hits 9-12 HRs, his value is not much more than jacoby's...

that's good for your SB category... but not that great for everything else...

37. B.J. Upton, TAM, AL, OF(143) DH(1)
531 AB, .273 AVG, .385 OBP, 85 R, 9 HR, 59.0 AB/HR, 67 RBI, 44 SB, 16 CS, .733 SB%, 134 K, 97 BB, .401 SLG%, 0.786 OPS, 74% CR%, .351 BABIP, .128 ISO (236)

Rankings: BA(48/86) RBI(49/86) R(27/86) HR(72/86) SB(3/86)

38. Jacoby Ellsbury, BOS, AL, OF(140) DH(2)

if you can get rollins
Hi bearlo:

If you can get Rollins with your next pick, that is probably your best bet. SS is a slim position... there will still be plenty of powerful, good average first basemen out there after.

Tulowitski is a good pick, but you can wait a few rounds... (unless you know of a big Colorado/Tulo fan in your league).

BJ UPTON
I was thinking with the other pick Rollins Berkman or Beltran and if I didnt get Rollins then hope Troy Tulowitzki fall back to my turn at 3-4 4 is first keeper pick round in our league?

where he falls
In most leagues I have seen, he seems to be falling in the latter second round... so, he should be available at #14 or #15. The only question is whether it is a reach to get him that EARKY...

And, with your keepers (thanks for adding those to the mix because now I get why you want BJ), I think you should go after him there.

His shoulder problems appear to be in the past, so 18+ HRs is still in the realm of possibility... 35 SBs+ in the mix, and you have a solidly balanced player. My expectation on his average is that .270s is probably about right, so you definitely need to get a high batting average guy in the first round.

Where do you think he will fall this year? I have a H to H keeper League and have pick 14 and 15 To far a reach for him at one of those picks?
