Message #17 by Bearlo0317 @ March 25, 2010, 07:18am David Wright Draft is tonight. I have Longoria and Sandoval as 1st and 3rd already keeper. Only have one pitcher Lester and most top 20 Sp are kept already except CC and Johan. It looks like Wright and Sizemore might be there at 13 for me along with CC. My Goal is Rollins at 16 in the snake draft as the guy at 14 and 15 has two MI already. My problem grabbing CC is I am really worried about the number of innings he has thrown in the last few year. I dont trust Johan any more until he proves he is healthy.

Message #16 by Rob Reed @ March 25, 2010, 06:36am ADP = 15 I did a quick search (not to be deemed accurate, but I think it is close if it is inaccurate) that states that Wright is getting drafted at about #15. Personally, he is not one of my targets, with this ADP. It looks like folks are shying a way a bit, but he is still (at #15) -- a middle 2nd round pick. For me, someoe like Pablo Sandoval is a better pick... even Ryan Zimmerman. And, both of these guys can be picked up later (cheaper in auctions). I am thinking that there's a possibility that I can get him for below $15 in my money league... if that happens, then I have to snag him for value. But, I would be betting on 20 HRs, and a .300 avg... and, unfortunately, last year's stats don't bode well for either of these things. At that price, though, don't be surprised to see me announce here that I got him in his weekend's money league auction draft.

Message #13 by Rob Reed @ December 10, 2009, 09:49am From today's blog entry on luckiest hitters... I consistently expected an uptick in David's stats throughout his season power slump, but it didn't happen. HRs look to be few for David at the new field. The question is why? He still walked a ton, which is a plus, but in nearly 100 some fewer ABs than the previous season where he struck out only 118 times, David struck out a whopping 140 times. Pressing? Psychological? Could be, so I am not counting out a return to 30 HR power just yet, but I'm wary. And, others in your league should be, too. With average luck, David should have hit in the .260s. Those who drafted him can breathe a sign of relief that Wright, luckily, salvaged his value with a surge in SBs and a .400 BABIP (highest in the league with min 300 ABs). He will still probably go in the first round. I don't want to be the guy who takes that gamble next year.

Message #10 by Rob Reed @ April 28, 2009, 11:52pm i think i like it... Wright was the best player in all of fantasy baseball last season according to this site (min 150 ABs), so I think you did good. Rollins WILL improve so getting him as a buy low opportunity was awesome. Votto is obviously a stud. You get three very studly players for two (Rolen doesn't count). As long as you have a solid 2B and CI, I think you are golden here.

Its a keeper league that counts a number of stats like Ks and fielding percentage that others don't... I gave up A Rod, Kinsler, and Rolen and received Rollins, Wright, and Votto. Hate it, love it, somewhere in between?

This is a keeper league (we can keep a player for three years before they go back into the pool) and this is my second full year with A-Rod, so I would have him again next year. I would have made the trade at the beginning of the season, but now I am hesitating. The 'Coors East' phenomenon has me liking what A-Rod might do there, and we count Ks, which Wright has piled up at an alarming rate this season. Any thoughts?
