Going to the bandbox...
The pickup by the Rangers could spell a resurgent Andruw Jones. The problem will be playing time...

Jones is listed in 4th on the ESPN Rangers depth chart behind David Murphy, Marlon Byrd, and Brandon Boggs. The move of Michael Young to third and Elvis Andrus to short puts Blalock at the DH spot.

Perhaps, the key would be yet another injury to Hank Blalock... and then the Rangers could fit Jones in the DH spot.

And, of course, there's the other issue of Andruw making the team. He has every reason to bust his butt because any reputation he had as a power hitting OF is bottom of the barrel...

I wonder if we're going to see a neat and trim Andruw Jones head into camp in the next few days? It will be interesting to see.

you and me both, man
Yes, it is incredibly painful. I am a diehard Dodgers fan, too... and when I see Kemp getting benched instead of Jones, it flames me up.

This is likely to be worse than the Delino Deshields for Pedro Martinez debacle... AND, it was just a free agent signing!

andruw "the fattest CF in baseball" Jones
so i target this guy in a couple of drafts last year bc i figure he was in for a big contract year and it was reported that he came to camp in great shape, etc.. & as we all know he was the horrible and those fantasy teams suffered for it.

now i have to watch him swing & miss all year for my beloved dodgers? man he looks horrible!!! don't trade pierre! trade andruw's sorry-slow-fat-ass and start playing kemp everyday!!!

Underappreciated!
Not only can this guy hit for monster power, drive in runs, & still you a few bases here & there, he'll also save you about a run a game defensively. John Sherholtz(however you spell his damn name) better not trade this guy & show him the freakin' money! Do it for once John! Show somebody the freakin' money!
