much better hitter than this |
Now is the time to grab him up... high BABIP is his claim to fame, and he is at league average right now... he should hit in the .290s+ and post 15-15 the rest of the way.

how will he follow-up a great 2009? |
Strikes out far too much, but balances it with a nice ability to take a walk.
It was his rule of 27 year last year, and he broke out with 20-20... I believe he has reached his peak. BUT, the high BABIP is a skill set, it appears, because his average BABIP since his 2006 introduction is, believe it or not, in the .370s.
SBs make him a very valuable AL only OF. He definitely came into his own last year, and one of my biggest 2009 sleepers is no longer one.
In multi-leagues, I still try and land him #4, #5. Might be tough to do.

Rule of 27 guy to look out for... |
Shin-soo, in a short stint, makes the PlayerTrack AL all-star squad at the OF position. Some might scratch their heads.
Well, this kid quietly produced last season... quietly, until September, when he was named the AL player of the month. Unfortunately, his status as "sleeper" might get hit by that alone.
In the minors, he stole a ton, so 15-20 SBs given a full season is not out of the question. And, he turns 27 this year which, given the Rule of 27 in fantasy baseball mythology, we can expect to see his career year next year or looming shortly.
His contract with the Indians is up in March, so we will need to monitor his status in the offseason. If he once again gets a one-year deal, then this fact coupled with the Rule of 27 make him a very attractive end game option.
