BABIP alert
Sanchez is NOT this good just yet... everything clicked with himw ith a higher strand rate than his norm and a much lower BABIP. As long as you are bidding on him, expecting a low 4.00 ERA and a lot of Ks, then you're good.

If you draft him like some kind of ace (i.e., like he is a top 15 starter), I think you're making a mistake.

Sleeper potential
$1 or taxi squad addition... when you bid on him an auction draft in the end game, do it begrudgingly. This could be one of those surprises of 2009.

He is a bit older than I wold like for my comfort level at 26 years old. Were he 22 or 23, for instance, I might chock up his horrific stats as the simple result of lack of experience.

That doesn't fly... but in K leagues and, especially K/9 leagues (like my money league), this guy can be valuable, with slight improvement to ERA and WHIP. His FIP indicates that if the Giants can get better at defense, he could find immediate improvement.

So...
After today's game, I think things are becoming much more clear... aren't they?

For real?
I am not very familiar with what he is doing this year right now, to be honest. And, I'm not going to look before I respond in this fashion.

Move your cursor up after you read this message and stare at those stats.

Assuming, because you asking, that this guy is lights out right now, I would tell you... fuggitaboutit.

The Ks number last year looks good. That's about it.
