I sold on him in my keeper league. I am done for the year I got Lester and a fill in for Zobrist and Volstad.

BABIP is high for him... he will still mash, but he will kill your average the rest of the way, I think... .303 right now on August 1... watch it fall.

he could keep starting gig |
but, again, he's all power... i suspect he will kill average, so unless that is shored up elsewhere, im no a fan
if desperate for power, he's a good gamble

Do you think he gets the 2nd base job full tiem for the rest of the year? has your opinion changed at all?

Zobrist is relegated to partial time, utility man duty... and on that basis, I wouldn't recommend him for the long term. As we saw last year, he can mash... but that's about it...

Boy, I wish he would get the starting gig in RF. Gabe Gross is GROSS right now at the plate. Zobrist has lots of power potential at SS, is hitting well, and the Rays have nobody at RF better than him. I am eyeing him in my keeper league because my SS is Aviles and he is killing me. Not sure what to do because there is nothing else in FA at the position besides Zobrist, J. Lugo, C. Barmes, and A. Cabrera. Would you stick with Aviles still over those other options? I will likely give him until the end of the month and then look to trade for SS, if he is still cold.
