Message #2 by Rob Reed @ March 9, 2011, 10:40am walk and dont run to make this deal or the other party might get nervous and realize how silly he is being... truth be told, if this deal was proposed in any of my leagues, I would object vehemently. It is a horrifically one-sided deal in your favor. If you can get away with it, getting a proven STUD pitcher for an unproven young kid at CATCHER is an easy decision... If this is a one catcher league, Soto should suit your purposes just fine...

Message #1 by Brian Ramos @ March 9, 2011, 09:43am trade thoughts I have been offered Jered Weaver (at 7th rd price) for J.P. Arrencibia (at 28th round price and keepable for 3 years) in a keeper league. I could use an extra SP. I already have Geovany Soto at a 14th rd price, but thought of keeping Arrencibia as a 2nd catcher, since he has tons of power upside and Soto is a bit injury prone. Arrencibia may not give me much more than just power. Though Weaver normally goes around the 7th rd, he will be a top 5 SP in our draft due to the fact that various of the top 20 SPs will be kept by managers. His numbers suggest he could come close to repeating last years stats. I would like Weaver, but not necessarily at that price. Arrencibia could be a huge bargain at his current price, thus making him a solid keeper. Any suggestions?
