spring stats

I really avoid spring stats when determining how a player will play over the long haul of a regular season... I've been screwed too many times.

That being said, this guy still looks like a reasonable gamble... it is just one that I wouldn't take myself (at least this year).

but what about...

that sick K/BB ratio he put up in the spring and thru his first game? espn was gulpin' the kool-aid, highlighting his "nasty" (mighta been "filthy")change-up AND comparing him to Pedro Martinez.

Don't drink the Kool-Aid!

LOots of hype with this guy... his past stats don't leave any form of good taste in my mouth.

If you have an extra availability on your roster, perhaps you can afford to grab him... but I wouldn't.

As far as I am concerned, this guy's past stats clearly show that he is no Johnny Cueto.
