k rate went down
strand rates and FIP were aberrationally low... he may get very good soon, but if you think you will get what you saw last year, I think you are being overly optimistic

complete game shutout today. Cueto now has enough innings to qualify for the era title and is up by a full half of a run.

I wouldnt roll with him
Then again, I have Shields and his 10 ER yesterday.

last 30 days he's thrown 40 innings, has 2.25 era, 1.12 whip. you have to roll with him. if only his team would score to runs so he'd have more then 1 win over that time.

peripherals mean it is time to dump
Scary peripherals with great ERA and WHIP. .208 BABIP and 85% LOB spells upcoming disaster. Sell high.

wow
well, snag beltran immediately, if you have room... and I like those pitchers in this order:

Santana
Young
Duchscherer
Cueto
Kennedy

...but they're all pretty much similar gambles... when Santana and Young are good, though, they are REALLY good. I went with youth and the fact that Santana is only one year removed from top 10 status (rule of 27, fyi).

Johnny Cueto
In one league I am in some one dropped Carlos Beltran, and no one claimed him on Waivers ?? When he goes on the Dl I was looking to grab a pitcher. Johnny Cueto Ervin Santana Chris Young Ian Kennedy or Justin Duchscherer are available. Who would you grab?
