A pick to click
He just came off his Rule of 27 year, after having suffered numerous injuries, including a very bad wrist injury in 2009.

Bottom line, the guy can mash.

His 21 HRs in only 332 ABs might be overlooked in your league. This is especially true because of his .230ish average the last two years.

Pay attention to those awful BABIP numbers and perfectly league average contact rates.

This guy is just an injury-free year away from fantasy greatness. It would not surprise me if he broke out this year.

I could get him now, but I'm not...
well,. maybe not... LOL - last round in the Bloomberg draft.

It is his Rule of 27 year AND free agent year... I just changed my mind and took him... in deep leagues, he's a good option. Peak year, historically, AND a contract year... and a lousy BABIP 2 years in a row... not a bad flyer, but get him cheap (like I did in the 28th round)...

Edwin Encarnacion
What are your views on him this year? I have Ian Stewart for 3b Looking for a backup player.
There is one utility spot and I have Looney Huff Francour and Hudson. Roto league

I think this is the year of the breakout
Edwin is almost 27... I believe he turns 26 this year.

Look at his ridiculously low BABIP... lowest in his career by some 20 points... and it was lower by almost 60 points from 2007.

If Edwin makes contact with the ball at his expected 80% and gets the ball in play according to the league average, he should hit in the .280s quite easily... with his power display last season and with a young reds lineup that has some very exciting players, I like Edwin's chances.

Should provide GREAT value this year, and if you can get him cheap, I predict that he will be on many keeper lists next season.

Time to breakout Edwin
I think this might be his breakout year, especially considering the ballpark he will get to hit in for 81 games.
