well, he didn't hit .285
but he certainly met up with my expectations... more of the same for the 31-year old

tons of value here
30-15 is a possibility, given a full season, and the members of your league might not realize it. Two seasons in a row with an abnormally low BABIP.

One more season like that, and I will go on record and call it a skill set.

For now, I will go on the record and say that for two seasons - the last 1000 ABs - Curtis has had horrific luck, and he will hit at least .285 this year.

If he does that, he has a great shot at hitting the top 10 OF when all is said and done... and that will surprise a lot.

If you were looking for this year's "CarGo," this is a possibility.

change of team and abnormally low BABIP = 2010 success
may be a great value pick if your leaguemates are overly concerned about his AVG... the unfortunate thing for his value pick status was the move to the Yanks, as he will be higher on people's radar just for that.

30-30 is entirely possible, with a .275+ average... everything to like... at the peak of his career - he turns 29 in the next few weeks.

Re: Draft status
A displaced fracture MIGHT get me up in arms, but it is a non-displaced fracture.

This is the kind of news that I HOPE for with stud fantasy players (and Granderson is exactly that). Anything to downgrade the value of a player is GOOD news if you are in a league with very fickle owners. 15-day Dl to START the season? That's nothing.

Right now, Granderson, Lackey, and Smoltz could potentially be GREAT buys in your draft.

Do everything possible to talk about the injury if the name is brought up... and then pretend to bid on the guy "begrudgingly," and frown on the outside when you get him, doing everything you can to hide the big smile on the inside.

Draft Status...
I see where Granderson is going on the 15 day D.L. with a broken right middle finger. For those if that have not drafted yet, does this affect his draft status? If so, how much? I can't but think that it should affect it some and this is an injury that could plague production for a while. Thoughts?
