I've pegged Chris Carter as the AL ROY this season in Fantasy Baseball Index mag. You should know what I think about prospects now, anyway... no, no, and no (unless a keeper legaue, of course, but even then, I'm not playing the likes of folks like Ike Davis now).

Message #5 by Brian Ramos @ April 20, 2010, 10:36am Maybe in keeper league I don't really like him. Would prefer Chris Carter of Oakland at 1B or in the OF I like D. Jennings (if available in your league). Not sure how much HR upside Davis has in that ballpark and lineup, at least in the short term. However, unlike all the prospects named, he will get playing time now and could help your team short-term.

Message #4 by Bearlo0317 @ April 20, 2010, 05:45am Ike Davis Is he worth the #2 waiver spot? Strasburg,Chapman,Posey,Santana and Smoak are all taken already. The only other prospect I like is Hellickson but I think he is blocked with the Rays staff they way it is right now.

Jeter on the other hand not even that I am a Yankee fan just seems to get better. But I think I would risk it with Zobrist and Doumit as McCann the one thing over Zobrist is he is a proven bat. Posey I think will be up at some point but In my mind I don’t think it will be as soon as Santana in Cleveland

Your best bet is Jeter, but that leaves YOU to gamble that Zobrist will have a similar season as last season. This is a situation that I wouldn't want to be in... Bottom line: I think you give too much away at the slim SS position by trying to improve on a slim position that most folks in your league will already be hurting at (C). So, I stand pat with Jeter and Doumit, unless Zobrist and Doumit would seal the deal for McCann (I doubt it).

Message #1 by KGMJr32 @ April 19, 2010, 01:30pm May trade for him H2H scoring league. I have Doumit and I am looking to upgrade my cather while my colleague needs a SS. I am thinking about offering up either Jeter or Zobrist and Doumit for McCann and a mid level pitcher. I have Buster Possey on my bench but I am not sure how he will do when he comes up. Thoughts?
