| BABIP avg the last 5 years |
is about .280... so, what is the cause of his great success this year? A .230 BABIP. He is still a very solid pitcher, but let someone else pay the bigger bucks for him next year in multi-leagues.
I would say a 3.70, 1.30 WHIP is a better expectation for him under normal circumstances... so, if you are bidding in 2011 as if he will do better, I believe you are making a mistake.
