means a good buy low candidate... see if the owner in your league is frustrated.
/and I'm not a Beltre fan, but he will do much better than his stats through 5/5

Makes him far less attractive. I might have to pick up a 37-year old Beltre in 2015 or so, however.

lolol do laugh at me Rob.
I don't think Beltre will end the year #1 because Wright's steals will give him a boost, but the other 4 stats, I don't think it's all that far fetched that Beltre could lead all third basemen.

I would be extremely surprised if Adrian is the #1 3B in all of fantasy this year... we're going to revisit that later (so I can laugh at you).
/I'm kidding... maybe.

Beltre was quite good in Seattle if you ask me. Between playing for a terrible team, where he never really had any lineup protection, and playing in an awful park for hitters, averaging something like 80,20,80 seems solid.
The ball flies out of Arlington, the lineup is loaded, if Beltre stays healthy, he could very easily end the year as the #1 overall fantasy third baseman.

I didnt make the deal. I don't think Longoria supporting cast is as good this year but he is still a stud. I switched my 5th keeper from Stubbs to Sandoval even though we can just keep four we have 2 weeks with 5 and then cut one. Sandoval 2 homers so far for spring and I wouldnt have kept Stubbs with Heyward and Stanton

Beltre could be absolutely amazing this year, but I wouldn't do it.
As a Dodger fan, I saw first hand what he could do in a contract year, and Seattle learned a lot about what he will do when he has the contract.
A three-year "contract" with Beltre NOW doesn't sound interesting to me at all.
I think you are better off with Sandoval.

OK 14 team head to head keeper league you can keep 4 players after third round. I have Cano and Longoria on last year of keeper and other 2 are Heyward and Stanton on first year of keeper. I have 13th pick of draft. a lot of the top pitchers are kept already leaving CC as top pitcher. Offered pick 26 and Grankie also last year for Longoria and 128 or same offer with Beltre three years and a swap of 5th rounders 59 for my 69. Do you make that move and if so which one? We can keep 5 up to the 15th and my 5th is either Stubbs or Sandoval.

once again playing for contract |
and he goes bonkers... went from 19th ranked overall 3B in 2009 to the 3rd... the only thing making me optimistic is the move to the bandbox in Texas. This makes him an attractive risk, but I think that it is one that I will avoid because he is likely to hit in the .260s again in 2011.
