Midseason position searches
by: Rob Reed | August 5, 2010, 2:59pm

One of the things that I have been wanting to do with the site is add the ability to search rankings by position, mid-season. I finally configured a way to input this information easier, so I have now incorporated this into the system.

Enjoy.

As always, if you encounter any bugs, let me know immediately.

Top 10 hitters in all of baseball, comparing players to the mean
by: Rob Reed | July 13, 2010, 8:36pm

I am experimenting with standard deviations from the mean to better rank players. This is not yet a functional component of the playertrack interface, but it should be shortly.

This function reveals that these are the "real" top 10 fantasy offensive players in all of baseball through 7-12-10.

1. Miguel Cabrera, DET, AL, 312 AB, .346 AVG, .425 OBP, 64 R, 22 HR, 14.182 AB/HR, 77 RBI, 2 SB, 3 CS, .400 SB%, 52 K, 43 BB, 1.00 K/BB, .651 SLG%, 1.076 OPS, 83% CR%, .361 BABIP, .304 ISO

Distance From Mean: BA(.346, +79.0129151489246) RBI(77, +42.0563909774436) R(64, +27.2744360902256) HR(22, +13.9360902255639) SB(2, -3.33082706766917)... [read more]
