Comments on: Welcome to the new PLAYERtrack!
by: Rob Reed | November 12, 2008, 3:23pm

If you are a previous user of the PLAYERtrack system, then you should notice a new look and feel right away.

My goal with this latest incarnation is to provide valuable fantasy baseball content as well as the valuable ranking systems in a less cartoonish, more professional manner. In addition, I want to add audio content in the form of a podcast after each update.

The same subscription rules apply. Subscriptions are free, but only paid members can access the entire ranking lists. Free subscribers, however, can see everything on the player profile pages and, in fact, add their own opinions.

The plan is for, at minimum, monthly updates, and paid subscribers will have the option to purchase a one-time annual pass of $19.99, which includes the draft prep lists (end of 2008 season lists), or only pay for updates periodically. Each update will be $4.99, and the draft prep list will be $9.99. As there will be at least 5 updates through the course of the season, if you choose to buy individual updates, it would cost you $34.94. So, an annual pass is almost $15.00 of savings through the course of the season.

As always, I appreciate comments, criticisms, and requests for new categories. As the sabermetrics of baseball become more complicated, I would like this site to evolve to accomodate new analysis methods.

Thanks for reading, and welcome to PLAYERtrack!
